GetWebPics is a download manager for multimedia files. This nice, little application is a monster. It allows you to do a lot. If you need to download pictures or images, or video for that matter, off the Internet regularly, you are probably annoyed by having to do that with one item at a time. If you install GetWebPics, you can simply add the URL with the picture gallery you want to download, and the application will take care of the rest. After you have downloaded your files, you can view them via the integrated picture viewer. The viewer also allows you to view thumbnails, full screen pictures and a nice slideshow. The slideshow has nice transition effects and is really fast to load, unlike some Windows integrated functions. The application also allows you to manage the items that you have downloaded. You can set any image as a Windows wallpaper from within the application. You can even e-mail your pictures to your friends or print them. There are a bunch of filters that you can use to skip any unwanted material, so you are left with only what you originally wanted to download, saving you time, and in some cases, money. |
